Why the library stays free.
A block library is worth more the more pages it has been used on. Charging for access would make the library smaller, not better. What is worth paying for is the work around it: keeping your projects, proposing a stack from a brief, handing a wireframe to a designer, and getting a client to sign off without a screenshot. That is Pro. The blocks are the foundation, and foundations are not where you put the toll booth.
Will the free plan stay free?
Yes. Browsing, stacking, colour kits and native JSON export are the product, and they stay free. Pro adds workflow around them — saved projects, describe-to-stack, Figma export, client links — not access to the library.
Why does a download need an account?
So the Studio can keep your stacks, tell you when a block you downloaded is redrawn, and stop wholesale scraping of the library. It asks for a name, an email and a password. No card, no plan.
What does Pro cost?
Planned at $12 a month or $99 a year. Waitlist members get their first year at the launch price, whatever it becomes later. Nothing is charged until Pro exists, and the terms will be rewritten before it does.
Can I use downloads on client sites?
Yes, on any site you build, for yourself or a client, with no attribution. The only restriction is repackaging the blocks and selling them as a template product.
Do I need Elementor Pro?
Not for most blocks. Where a block uses a Pro widget, the Studio names it before you download, because Elementor silently removes widgets it doesn't have on import. Elementor Pro is Elementor Ltd.'s product and is priced separately.
